NETSSAF Public Library
The main objective of the NETSSAF Public Library is to provide a variety of target groups with information on Sustainable Sanitation in order to facilitate its implementation in West Africa, the geographical area on which the NETSSAF project is focused. With this purpose, it supplies access to a list of recommended reading and useful links to all important issues related to sustainable sanitation.
The public to be addressed by the Public Library of NETSSAF is divided into the following target groups:
- General public: easy access to the most relevant information regarding sustainable sanitation in Africa (Section Background Information).
- Specialized public: data base with public deliverables of NETSSAF (Section NETSSAF documents), articles related to sanitation and (Section Other documents) and relevant links to organisations with activities within the scope covered by NETSSAF (Section Useful links).
- City planners, communities and local authorities: data base containing the possible suppliers of the material and technical requirements (Section Data base of regional suppliers of sanitation technologies in West Africa), as well as the regional organisations which could support the massive sanitation implementation of sustainable sanitation (Section Data base of technology transfer organisations and networks).
In addition, regional suppliers, NGOs and SME’s can have access to a virtual place to offer their services (the information will be included in sections Useful links and Data base of regional suppliers of sanitation technologies in West Africa), by getting in contact with Ms. Antonia Lorenzo (see Contact).
The NETSSAF Public Library aims to give the opportunity to access to a list of recommended reading and useful links to all important issues related to sustainable sanitation.

Background information
General information of the current state of the art on centralised and decentralised wastewater management and on-site sanitation practices in developing countries.
The eight publishable articles prepared by NETSSAF expert groups and work packages leaders on hot topics related to Sustainable Sanitation and outputs of the WPs.
