WP6 (Adapted sustainable sanitation management System):

The development of this work package represented a key figure in completing NETSSAF goals, since it merged the results obtained in WP2, WP3, WP4 and WP5, allowing the identification of appropriated low technology options, management strategies and policy options in a multidisciplinary approach for the support of a massive sanitation implementation in West Africa. One of the results, the adapted sustainable sanitation management system, was a decision-making support tool that enabled the identification of feasible sanitation technologies adapted to the local physical and socio-economical conditions. It was complemented by the guide “Implementing low cost sustainable sanitation approaches in West Africa”, a manual for planning and implementation each of the selected innovated low-cost sanitation technologies, taking into account community-based management and governance, institutional and socio-economical factors. The following table contains the deliverables done during this work package. To have more information click on each deliverable.
