RESEARCH ON SUSTAINABLE SANITATION

You can find here an identification of research centres related to sustainable sanitation in rural and peri-urban areas in developing throughout West Africa and Europe.

The aim of this exercise is to document objectives, methods, disclosed results and expected impacts of sustainable sanitation related projects.

These research centres were divided in various parts related to the geographical area to which they belong as follows:

• Zone A- which contains the following countries: Nigeria, Mali  
• Zone B- which contains the following countries: Cote d'ivoire, Senegal, Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone
• Zone C- which contains the following countries: Ghana, Burkina Faso, Benin
• Central Europe which contains the following countries: Austria, Germany, Spain, Switzerland
• Western Europe which contains the following countries: Belgium, France, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, United Kingdom
• Research activities performed in the field of sustainable sanitation within the consortium
