OVERVIEW

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SUSTAINABLE SANITATION IN AFRICA 24-27 SEPTEMBER 2008, OUAGADOUGOU,BURKINA FASO.

 


On behalf of the International Network for the development of Sustainable Approaches for Large Scale Sanitation in Africa (NETSSAF), it is our pleasure to invite you to join us at the International Conference in Sustainable Sanitation in Africa, titled "Pathways towards Sustainable Sanitation in Africa". This event will be held on September 24-27, 2008 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

 

The objective of the conference is to bring together members of the NETSSAF consortium jointly with other decision makers, sanitation professionals  and practitioners and scientists to present their findings and discuss future trends and directions concerning the development of sustainable approaches for large scale sanitation issues in rural and peri-urban areas.

 

The conference is organised by the Regional Centre for Low Cost Water Supply and Sanitation Facilities (CREPA) and sponsored by the NETSSAF consortium, a group of 19 partners from Europe and Africa including 12 European institutions leaded by TTZ among others: IWA, GTZ, EAWAG, BioAzul, SEI, TUT, TUHH, ESCA, ULeeds, SLU, IEES and 07 Africans partners leaded by CREPA among which BAOTA, CEPAPE, KNUST, UAA and two Communes of MATAM and Ville-de-Sya, under funding of the 6th Framework Programme of the European Commission. It will serve as a perfect venue to exchange the most advanced developments in the field of sanitation.
